ATLAS VISITOR CENTRE (AVC)
VISITOR CAPACITY
48 persons per hour
24 persons on the ground floor in front of the control room with a guide & 24 persons on the 1st floor watching the 3D film with a guide.
The following time slots are managed by the ATLAS secretariat and are available for visits organised by CERN members of personnel:

AVC visits Organized by the CERN Visits Service
The CERN Visits Service organizes group visits to the ATLAS visitor Center (AVC) from 10h00 to 14h00 and from 15h00 to 17h00 (Tuesday to Sunday).
Private AVC visits organized by the ATLAS Secretariat
1. Find an OFFICIAL GUIDE(mandatory).
2. Prior to booking a private visit, the organiser must verify that the VISITS CALENDAR allows a suitable visit programme which does NOT interfere with standard visits.
3. Fill in a Member of Personnel Visit Request and choose “ATLAS AVC”. If you have already reserved a visit to another CERN site for your group, through the Visits Service, please kindly email us with the visit number (e.g. Group visit #456981) in order to avoid duplication.
4. Once your visit is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to register your EXTERNAL visitors through http://myguidedtours.cern.ch. Please ignore the myguidedtours email if all your visitors have visitor passes or CERN access cards.
5. Failure to provide the details for your External visitors at least 48 hours before the visit may lead to the cancellation of your guided tour. The visitor passes are printed by the reception at the CERN Science Gateway and are to be collected by the guide. There is no need to request visitor passes via the service portal.
6. The guides assigned to Private Visits will NOT BE PAID by the Visits Service.
7. Please input the maximum amount of information in the section “Comments”. If you are not registered at CERN, then please refer to the Guided Tours organised by the Visits Service.
